From San Pedro Sula:
San Pedro Sula is the industrial capital of Honduras, commonly known as “The Big City”. Conveniently there are two main bus companies that can bring you to Copan Ruinas.

• The first option is Hedman Alas. This is a top of the line bus service, offering a luxurious, comfortable ride. These buses are not only direct (no need for transfers) but actually EXPRESS with absolutely no stops in-between terminals. Their buses are new, modern, safe, and extremely clean. There are reclineable seats, AC, TV, bathroom, and complementary drink and snack service on board, making the 2 1/2 Hr trip, short and pleasant. The price is a bit higher than the other buses but totally fair for the reliable, friendly service you receive. For updated info and schedules visit www.hedmanalas.com

•The second option is Casasola Express. This service is direct so you have to make no transfers either. However, it makes a few quick stops on the way to drop off and pick up people and therefore the trip is about 45 minutes longer than the express buses of Hedman Alas. Their buses are somewhat new, well maintained, fairly clean, no AC, no TV or bathroom on board. Casasolas’ service and schedules aren’t so reliable, but it is definitely the way to go for travelers trying to go far with little money. For schedules call (504) 651-4078

From Guatemala City:
If you are traveling from seeing the sights of Antigua Guatemala or Guatemala City (the capital of Guatemala), the only option is Hedman Alas which offers the same service explained above.

Most of our guests arriving in the SAP airport, in San Pedro Sula, prefer our direct-express shuttle service to our B&B in Copan Ruinas. Our vehicles are new, clean, secure, comfortable, AC equipped, and direct, with frequent snack or bathroom stops if necessary.
Besides, you will not only avoid having to find a taxi, switch from taxi to bus and vice versa, but also you won't worry about handling any of your luggage after a long flight because we will do it for you!

Once in Copan: transport two
We want to make your Copan Experience pleasant from the moment you arrive until you depart. Therefore, we will pick you up at any of the local bus stations, help you with your luggage, and drive you to our B&B at NO CHARGE. If possible, please let us know in advance the bus line and time of arrival so we can be there on time for you. You may also call our land line number in Honduras (504) 651-4029 from the bus station to let us know you have arrived. Within 10 minutes from your call, we will pick you up for free.

Also, we recommend making use of the famous moto-taxi’s, commonly known as Tuc Tucs. Not only are they cheap, costing only US $0.70 average per ride, but they are also a lot of fun to ride.
